Omega Transmission is a modern take on the classical arcade space shooter. Player has to shoot down enemy space ships to be able to confront the alien mother ship. Omega Transmission permits the player’s spaceship to freely navigate to look for better shots, be able to evade enemies and pick up power ups to blast through the game.

Understanding Omega Transmission to be a modern interpretation of a classical arcade spaceship shooter, it seemed appropriate to use chip tune sounds to compose its main track. Omega Theme Song has three main components, a primary melody, a counter-melody and an interlude. The main melody looks to establish its presence with higher notes and an upbeat progression to create the sense of increasing danger and difficulty of play. The counter-melody works at a lower range of notes and looks to be more of a melodic chord progression to establish the undertone of the track. The interlude introduces the opportunity to slow down the overall established pace and tone of the track introducing a new, short, more tranquil melody to then be abruptly brought back to the fast paced, upbeat previously established cadence for the track. The interlude seemed to make sense as its akin to a bridge in a pop song, a modern addition to the composition of a chip tune track for a modern interpretation of this game's genre.
